And Another New Episode

Yes, slowly but surely, not to mention sporadically, I continue to work on The Phoenix Imperative.  Here, finally, for your reading pleasure, is Episode 13!

Episode Thirteen: The Law Comes to Town

Enjoy :)

  1. Don't worry about it my friend. I've got a project I've been working on since July of last year; there's still a chance that it might get finished someday...

  2. From the dramatic presentation, I cannot help but think I'm supposed to know who Silas Caine is...

This must be one of those times not hanging around the Nexus is going to bite me in the ass.

  3. Silas has acquired a following of his own over the last year and a half or so. The Adventures of Silas Caine, Wasteland Ranger is one of the more popular comic strip series on the FO3 Nexus. The creator, vancleef, is the one who first used "guest stars" in his comics, so that is were I got the idea from. I posted some links to a number of Silas' adventures a number of posts ago. You can find the relevant post in the May archive entitled, oddly enough, The Adventures of Silas Caine.

This weekend, I plan on updating that list of links, as well as include ones for a number of other comics/stories that I happen to follow on the Nexus.

As far as Silas' appearance in The Phoenix Imperative goes, he has only made one other appearance so far (Episode 1), but he will end up being a regular over the next little while.

Still trying to figure out how to get Maeva in with the rest of the "team", and make it believable...

Believable to who? You guys, or me?

For you guys, it'd be easy -- you know next to nothing about her. Beyond appearing in two episodes of Nos' Adventures (was it two? Or am I thinking of the 8/24 entry that's been sitting partially written for six months now...), whatever little bit of dialogue I added to the RR companions pack, and some silly blog post involvement; she's never had much in the way of established character, back story, et cetera. I... sort of dropped the ball on that one.

Really need to do a character Q&A or something. Or just go back to writing Nos' Adventures. Damned other literary projects, always getting in the way... though I suppose 297 pages isn't bad...

Good point, as I was thinking of the readership in general. Come to think of it, I might also have been thinking of myself.

I don't want Maeva to try and sweet talk her way into the group, as she doesn't strike me as the type to do that. Now, setting up an ambush and conveniently showing up to help, that sounds like Maeva.

Although, without having seen the next episode involving Maeva, why she would want to join up with a group including a "bounty hunter with a badge" might leave you scratching your head.
